Lawn Care in Waterloo, Ontario
Feeding the soil, opening up compacted ground and filling in bare patches, sold separately or bundled, starting at $150 plus HST for a single organic feed. A newer Laurelwood or Conservation Meadows lawn and a mature Beechwood or Lincoln Heights lawn fail in opposite ways: the newer west-end builds sit on packed subsoil under a thin layer of rolled sod, so feeding does little until the ground is opened, and we aerate before we feed. The older, mature-canopy streets have the nicer problem, big established maples, but the shade and surface roots thin the grass under the drip line no matter how much you feed it, so a shade-tolerant overseed does more than extra fertilizer.

Waterloo FAQ
My Laurelwood lawn was sodded a few years ago and still looks tired. Why? Compaction is the usual reason on a newer sodded lawn, not hunger. A free assessment tells you which one your lawn actually has.
Nothing grows under my Beechwood maple. Will feeding help? Not much on its own. That’s shade and root competition. Shade-tolerant seed into aerated ground gives it a real chance; we’ll say plainly if a bed is the better answer instead.
