Snow Removal in Waterloo, Ontario

Property Size Calculator →

We clear Waterloo driveways at the 5 cm trigger, usually within 12 hours of the snow stopping, from $49.99 plus HST a visit. Waterloo’s own sidewalk bylaw requires the property owner to clear the sidewalk in front of their home within 24 hours of a snowfall, and it carries a real fine: $100 plus cleanup costs for a first offence, and $400 plus cleanup costs for repeat offences (waterloo.ca, “Sidewalk snow removal”). During a declared snow event, the city also bans street parking for 24 hours starting at 11:59 p.m., with an $80 ticket for anyone still parked (waterloo.ca, “Snow event and parking ban”). Our driveway visits already cover that front sidewalk, and out on the open ground around Laurelwood and Conservation Meadows, west of Erbsville Road, wind keeps working on a cleared driveway long after the snow stops, which is why we clear the whole apron edge to edge rather than a single track.

What’s included

Driveway, front path, city sidewalk and standard rock salt on every visit, the same as the rest of our service area. Full detail on snow removal.

Waterloo FAQ

Am I still responsible for my sidewalk if I hire you? The bylaw responsibility stays with the property owner in Waterloo, but your KW visit covers the city sidewalk out front every time, so that box is checked either way.

Waterloo also runs an assisted clearing program. Is that the same as KW’s service? No. Waterloo’s own Assisted Sidewalk and Windrow Snow Clearing Program is a free city program for residents 65+ or with a qualifying disability (waterloo.ca, “Apply for snow clearing help”). We’re a separate, paid crew; if you think you qualify for the city’s program, apply directly with the city.

Serving Kitchener too

We clear driveways across Kitchener and Waterloo, with Mannheim at the edge. Full service detail on snow removal, and Kitchener’s own bylaw and parking-ban detail on snow removal in Kitchener. Full boundary on the service area page. Same crew mows your lawn come spring, see lawn mowing in Waterloo.
