Driveway Size Guide for Kitchener-Waterloo
Five shapes, seven sizes, one photo guide. Pick the shape that looks closest to your driveway, confirm the exact size, and see the price for winter snow clearing. Shape gets you close. Exact car count is what actually decides your price below, so use the shape as a starting point, not the final word.
Driveway shapes we clear
One photo, five shapes. The illustration above shows all five side by side (Illustration tag shown on image); match yours by eye, then confirm the exact car count below.
Single, short, 1 car. One car, end to end, nothing longer.
Single, long (tandem), 1.5 to 2 cars. One lane wide, but long enough for a second car parked behind the first.
Double-wide, short, 2 to 2.5 cars. Two cars side by side, standard subdivision depth.
Triple-wide, short, 3 to 3.5 cars. Three cars side by side.
Double-wide and long, 3 to 4 cars. Wide enough for two, and deep enough to park a second row behind them.
Bigger than 4 car. The same car-count method keeps going, priced up to a 10 car.
Car count means how many cars actually fit, in total, not the shape name alone. Two driveways can look similar and still be a different size once you count cars.
What’s included in every clearing, whatever the size
Every visit, every size, includes all of this at no extra charge:
- The full driveway, cleared edge to edge
- The front path from your driveway to your door
- The city sidewalk across the front of your home
- Standard rock salt on the driveway
Add-ons, priced per visit:

Prices by driveway size
We clear at the 5 cm trigger, usually within 12 hours of the snow stopping. All prices are plus HST. Full-season prices are for Winter Plan Standard: one fixed payment for unlimited qualifying clearings, November 1 to April 15.

Driveway size FAQ
My driveway doesn’t match any of the five shapes, what now? Text us a photo at 226-336-2077 and we’ll size it before your first storm.
Does the price include my sidewalk? Yes. The city sidewalk across the front of your home is included on every visit, every size.
What about the walkway to my front door? Also included, every visit, at no extra charge.
I’m between two sizes, like 2 car and 2.5 car, which do I pick? Text us a photo at 226-336-2077. If you’d rather just decide yourself, round up, that way you’re never short on the day it actually snows.
